Protocol Development: Not Rules, But Clay
This is just a place holder for now; the plan is to work through views and thoughts on protocol development.
Let’s start with the initial view of someone coming into an organization; the amount of information and processes is overwhelming, and there is often a disconnect between how things are done and what the policies appear to state, experienced staff often showing “how it’s really done’ can instil a sense of contempt for the corporate entity. I’m not saying that isn’t entirely undeserved, as formal policies can appear to be out of touch with getting the job done, but once vision of the overall system is achieved, seeing it through the lens of policy and protocol (almost like a MIBI) can reveal areas of ischemia; a perfusion mismatch, and these should be looked at as opportunities to adjust ether policies or actual processes so they can align and function in unison. These areas can be a danger point that needs stenting.
